In the second quarter of 2024, the Tools category in Romania saw diverse performance trends among the top 5 apps, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of downloads and active users.

myPPC, launched by PPC Energie S.A. in late March 2024, showed significant early traction. Weekly downloads peaked at around 197K in mid-April but saw a steady decline over the quarter, ending with approximately 14.9K by late June.

Samsung Smart Switch Mobile maintained a consistent download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated between 12K and 15K, with a slight increase towards the end, reaching about 14.3K in the final week of June. Active users showed a steady growth trend, starting at 35.7K and peaking at 41.8K in mid-June.

QR & Barcode Scanner also exhibited stable performance. Weekly downloads ranged between 9.6K and 13.5K, with a slight dip towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 140K throughout the period.
